O presidente da Câmara Municipal, Alberto Machado relevou a importância de facilitar o acesso de pessoas com mobilidade reduzida aos estabelecimentos comerciais e de minorar as despesas necessárias aos empresários locais.
Aprovado por unanimidade em reunião de Câmara, a 10 de abril, o Regulamento de Liquidação e Cobrança de Taxas Municipais estipula, entre outras medidas, a redução da taxa aos proprietários que tenham a obrigação de implementar rampas de acesso aos estabelecimentos e que, para tal, seja necessária a ocupação do espaço público. A redução no licenciamento é bastante significativa (de 30€ para 1€ por m2). Deste modo, fica menos custoso para os lojistas e para as pessoas com mobilidade condicionada em aceder aos estabelecimentos comerciais.
Após aprovação em Assembleia Municipal (a 30 de abril) e consequente publicação, o Regulamento de Liquidação e Cobrança de Taxas Municipais (que também incluem taxas que decorrem de imposição legal da administração central) entra em vigor.
